Purposes:
|
Our purposes include, but are not limited to:
|
| |
- Deepening and broadening citizen voice;

- Increasing the responsiveness of elected officials to their entire electorate;
- And reducing violent extremism in our state.

Goals:
|
Our goals include:
|
- Educating the public and advocating for the passage of a constitutional amendment that allows legislators to be paid a salary and that salary being set by an independent salary commission.
- Advocating for the adoption of an independent redistricting commission so that the power to create legislative districts is removed from incumbent politicians (aka ending gerrymandering).
- Educating voters and the public about the inefficiencies in the current political system and proposing solutions to the NM state legislature.
|
- Exploring opportunities for independent and minor party candidates to have equal access to being on the ballot.
- Educating the general public and government officials about the benefits of various forms of open primaries and ranked-choice voting.
- Working statewide to keep good policies in place, policies that empower voters and expand representation in our state.
